GORDITAS is a family-run taqueria tucked into the Plaza Latina on Milvan Drive in North York. We're not trying to be fancy — we're trying to make the food you'd get from a street stand in Mexico, right here in Toronto.

Everything is made from scratch, every single day. The salsas, the masa for the gorditas, the marinades — no shortcuts, no seed oils, no frozen shortcuts. Just real ingredients and real recipes brought over from home.

Thinly sliced pork marinated in chiles and achiote, cooked on a vertical spit with pineapple. Sweet, smoky, and iconic.

Pork slow-braised in its own fat until impossibly tender, then crisped up for texture. Often called the best carnitas in the GTA.

Yucatan-style pork rubbed in achiote paste and slow-cooked until fall-apart tender. Bright, earthy, and deeply traditional.
